Pantry Staples

Thanks to Walmart for sponsoring this post! Please know all opinions are my own and I only share with you what I truly believe in and love!

One thing that brings a smile to my face and a sense of achievement is having a stocked and organized pantry. Stocking up food and snacks for my family is my biggest responsibility, one that I don’t take lightly.

Knowing 1 in 8 Americans struggle with food insecurity I like to make sure nothing we buy is wasted. I find that storing our snacks and food with more visible and easily accessible storage means we know exactly what we have and nothing gets wasted.

Sparking change and providing meals to families who are in need of them has never been easier when I make my family meals, pack school lunches and provide snacks for my kids. By hopping at Walmart you can help fight hunger by purchasing items like the ones featured in my post.

I’m sure you have all seen the Marie Kondo organizing skills, and although I haven’t tackled my whole house yet I am proud to say my pantry is organized and looking great!

Wire Storage Baskets, Nature Valley Granola Bars, Clif Bar Chocolate Chip

I will say the hardest part is finding containers that will work for your pantry. Its a very personalized space, your preferred food and snacks need to fit properly for this to work. My main goal is to have things properly fit and be easily accessible.

My family is pretty easy, they usually like the same type of snacks and are happy with me always stocking up our pantry staples. I will link my top picks for pantry storage options that are great pieces for any pantry!

Tip: It looks best if you use the same color, styles etc. to keep your pantry looking clean.

Did you know 40 million Americans struggle with food insecurity? Stocking our pantry up is something I do every week and I love that I can help secure a meal anytime I purchase select items at Walmart or Walmart.com now through May 20th. I have partnered with Walmart to share the Feeding America® initiative. We can all help secure a meal by buying our families favorite snacks and food, it’s that simple!

Remember your pantry organizing can be a slow process. I notice I’m constantly finding places and containers for my family’s food! So join me in organizing and stocking up your pantries and helping Fight Hunger by secure a meal when purchasing select items at your local Walmart!

Disclaimer: For every participating product purchased at Walmart between April 22nd and May 20th, 2019, the manufacturer will donate $0.10 to Feeding America® – enough to secure at least 1 meal on behalf of local food banks – up to each manufacturer’s maximum donation. Each manufacturer’s maximum donation is provided on the participating packages. See package or Walmart.com/FightHunger for details.

Dinner Is Served With HelloFresh

With all the new up and coming subscription boxes out there I think my favorite is boxes that carry food. Can you blame me? I was always skeptical of these “Meal Subscription Boxes” mainly because we are a household of picky eaters and how fresh can food shipped to you really be? Check out my review and video!

I was excited to review HelloFresh’s family meal box. I was impressed with the speed of delivery and how well everything was packaged. It was pretty nice not having to worry about planning out meals and going out to shop for them, all I had to do was unpack the box and store the fresh ingredients.

My HelloFresh box arrived with three meals:

  • Roasted Red Peppers- Stuffed with Ras El Hanout-Spiced Pork
  • Jammy Apricot Chicken- With Potato Wedges and Green Beans
  • Lasagna Baked Fusilli- With Kale and Mozzarella

My Thoughts: The first night we tried the Lasagna Baked Fusilli, this recipe was AMAZING! This was actually my first time trying kale in food and not a juice, it was so savory and delicious and as the recipe card indicated it only took me 10 minutes to prepare and 30 minutes to cook. I have included a short video to show how easy it is to prepare these chief inspired recipes, anyone can do it!
Pricing: HelloFresh offers three different meal packages

  • The Classic Plan- $9.90 per meal offers seasonal produce, fresh fish, and meats!
  • Veggie Plan- $9.08 per meal offers delicious meatless options!
  • Family Plan- $8.75 per meal offers family friendly ingredients to please adults and kids!
