Summer break always manages to fly by and we are still left having to plan and prep our kids for the new school year. I usually try and shop at one to two stores to avoid running around like a mad woman. It’s safe to say Rack Room Shoes is our go-to destination for back to school shopping, they offer a wide selection of on trend athletic shoes for kids!

Right now they are having a great promo for parents: Get Back to School ready with Double Rewards Points on Kids’ Shoe purchases from 7/21 to 8/14. With the money I save, I end up having extra to buy extra shoes for Jude and the family, It’s a win-win!

Like the beginning of each school year, Jude starts out nervous about meeting the new kids and teacher. I have found that talking to him about how exciting it will be to meet new friends and to see his friends from last year eases his nerves enough that he starts to show excitement! As a parent I like to mentally prepare my child for the new things he will be learning and discovering in the new grade, I do this by introducing him to second-grade work books and flash cards, as well as bringing in some grade level reading books.

Jude’s favorite part about going back to school is the back to school shopping. He loves getting the list of the school supplies needed as well as getting his new back pack and lunch box! Rack Room Shoes has been our one stop shop for our Back to School needs as they now offer a wide selection of lunch boxes and backpacks!

Whats In My Baby Bag- Summer Edition Plus Giveaway!

Itzy Ritzy Tribe Tote Giveaway

Hey, Mamas! I have decided to give you all a sneak peek into what I carry around in my Baby bag during the summer months.

Currently, I am toting around this adorable Itzy Ritzy Tribe Tote Diaper Bag which offers a wide variety of storage and it’s really comfortable to carry around and a bonus is that it comes with stroller straps!

My bag is actually very basic I think, I don’t get carried away with baby gadgets or toys which is nice because it lessens the cluttered feeling you get when every storage pocket is filled.

Mommy’s Things

It’s rare that I will ever carry a purse and a baby bag at once, I usually tend to like baby bags that offer storage options for me and my things too. Here is a list of what I usually carry around day to day:

  • Lip Balm
  • Wallet
  • Phone
  • Battery pack (if I remember)
  • Allergy/Headache Meds
  • Lipstick
  • Hair ties
  • Sunglasses
  • Tablet for work or kids
  • Water bottle

Itzy Ritzy’s Tribe Tote is so functional for both babies and parents. I love the easy access pockets on the outside it makes putting my phone and keys away and finding it easily instead of tearing through the whole diaper bag to find them again.

Things for Baby

  • Diapers
  • An extra swim diaper
  • At least two small toys baby can teeth on or play with
  • Wipes
  • Sanitizing wipes
  • Sun Screen
  • Hat
  • Extra onesie
  • Sippy cup with water
  • Nursing cover that doubles as a blanket if needed.
  • Changing pad

Being that it is summer we don’t spend a lot of time outside unless we are poolside or walking from the car to a shop, restaurant etc. But, I like to prepare for those times we are outdoors and predicting what you will need is often times impossible. So I prepare us with our most basic needs, quenching a thirst, protection from the sun, boredom and those moments our little ones need more than a wipe down.

Key Features Of My Baby Bag

  • 25 Pockets, 18 Internal pockets, and 7 external pockets
  • 2 external pockets are insulated to keep cups/bottles cooler
  • Includes matching changing pad
  • Rubber soles to keep the bag clean and protected, patient pending
  • Includes stroller straps

The importance of a fully functional baby bag is so real, this Itzy Ritzy tote offers an ample amount of storage for pretty much anything you would need to carry around in your day to day baby bag. The size of the Tribe Tote also offers a great amount of room so it can easily double as a travel tote!

You can purchase your own Itzy Ritzy Tribe Tote Diaper Bag here!

I want to thank my friends at Itzy Ritzy for sponsoring this post!
