If you follow me on Instagram you’ve seen my posts and IG stories following along in my Clear + Brilliant treatments with LaserAway. I was afraid at first, I wasn’t sure what to expect during or after the treatment. So I thought I would share my journey and some photos and let you know first hand how this has worked for me.
Here are photos from my first treatment, they snapped these right before starting my treatment.
Clear + Brilliant offers two treatment options:
- A 1440-nanometer wavelength laser, which reduces pore size, diminishes fine lines and improves skin texture.
- A 1927-nanometer wavelength laser, which treats such pigmentation issues as melisma, sun spots, and other types of sun damage.
Clear + Brilliant creates millions of microscopic treatment zones, replacing damaged skin with healthy, younger-looking tissue. The result is a youthful glow.
I personally wanted to work on helping my redness and skin texture due to old acne scars. I never really felt confident sporting a fresh face with no makeup, It wasn’t until my late 20’s that my skin really calmed down and I was able to focus on regaining that fresh face I always dreamed of.
Pain During Treatment
When I was offered to try the Clear + Brillant treatments I was so excited! I never had tried any sort of laser treatments and had no clue as to what to expect. I was surprised the treatment wasn’t as painful as I had imagined, on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the highest form of pain the pain was a solid 6 or 7 depending on the strength used during the treatment. You do feel the heat and stingy/tingly feeling and they do provide you with a hose that blows out cool air which helps ease the heat.
Down Time
The downtime is actually none. After each treatment, I get red (like a bad sunburn) and my skin feels really dry. You can apply makeup right after your treatment, I choose to keep a fresh face and have a couple ice packs nearby. The days following my laser treatment I use SPF and anything hydrating religiously until I regain the supple soft skin again. The redness only last 2-3 days and dryness usually last around 5 days. I get these done once a month and I’ve only had four treatments so far.
Results
This is my skin right before my 4th treatment. I’ve noticed a big decrease in redness and a much more even complexion. My skin has gained a smoother finish which I love because it’s made my skin look radiant and healthy. Excuse the super pale complexion, because I go often enough to get these treatments I have to make sure I keep my face out of the sun and use a high SPF.
I will also be posting my skincare routine that I use after my treatments. Let me know if you have any questions, I’d be happy to answer any!
